The Apha Kaiser Permanente Community Health Scholarship is an initiative to develop a group of diverse, underrepresented public health leaders dedicated to improving the health of our most vulnerable communities and achieving health equity for all across the country.
The scholarship funds the education of newly admitted graduate students starting their MPH or DrPH/PhD in public health this autumn at one of the APHA’s eight partner universities.
Preference is given to those who identify as first-generation college graduates; those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds; and those who identify as Black or African American, Asian, Hispanic or Latino, American Indian or Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, or individuals from other communities of color or underrepresented populations.

The scholarship is only valid for our nine partner colleges.
The grant covers both core and elective courses for full-time graduate study. It cannot be used to pay for study abroad or courses other than those necessary for the grant period.
Students must meet the academic criteria of the graduate program throughout the grant.
The grant covers only tuition. Students are normally responsible for fees, unless otherwise specified by university policy. (Doctoral students may receive the award as a stipend during their third year.)
The award is stackable and may be combined with other prizes. The prize cannot be combined with tuition remissions or waivers.
