The American University in Cairo Fellowships 2024-2025 are available to overseas students pursuing master’s and doctoral degrees.
These scholarships provide all tuition costs, medical insurance, a monthly stipend, student housing, and a laptop.
The Tomorrow’s Leaders Graduate (TLG) fellowship program is a collaboration between the United States Department of State, the Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs (NEA/AC), and AUC.
TLG provides academically qualified and economically deserving students with the professional qualifications and experience required to advance knowledge and contribute to the achievement of socially relevant outcomes through organized graduate study and research that professionalizes emerging leaders and proposes local solutions to shared problems in the MENA region.
There are no graduate admissions during the winter sessions. Degree-seeking graduate admittance is only available during the fall and spring semesters.

The fellowship application for spring 2024 will be accessible to all degree-seeking graduate students beginning October 5, 2023.
The deadline to apply for spring 2024 is October 26, 2023.

There are two application periods for the fall of 2024.
Fellowship cycle 1 is from December 20, 2023, – January 16, 2024
Fellowship cycle 2 is from April 7 – May 7, 2024

Eligibility Criteria for The American University in Cairo Fellowships
Applicants must meet the following criteria for the Tomorrows Leaders Graduate Fellowship Program:
- Required Languages: English.
- Eligible Countries: All World countries
- Meet the AUC graduate admission requirements.
- Strong academic prospects with a bachelor’s degree and a minimum overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or comparable.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Maturity, adaptability, and leadership potential are exhibited through extracurricular activities, recommendations, and interviews.
Financial need.
The fellowship is provided for two years, in addition to any academic English language remedial courses that may be required, with a review every semester to ensure excellent academic achievement.
